Beginning her restaurant career at age 13 in Butte's Italian-American neighborhood of Meaderville, Lydia Micheletti opened Lydia's near its current location in 1946. It was then that Lydia started combining her experiences from working in Meaderville's world-famous supper clubs with the Italian recipes that she had learned from her Italian-Immigrant mother.
